ABUJA — A fresh political development has emerged after Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke publicly reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
Adeleke, who spoke after being declared winner of the 2026 Osun governorship election, commended President Tinubu for what he described as his support for a free and fair electoral process in the state.
The governor described Tinubu as “a son of Osun State” before openly restating his earlier endorsement of the President for a second term.
“Mr President is a son of Osun State and I hereby reaffirm my earlier endorsement of him for second term in the 2027 presidential election,” Adeleke said.
Reacting to the declaration, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, took to X to commend the Osun governor for what he described as an “unequivocal endorsement” of Tinubu.
Keyamo also praised Adeleke as a man of integrity and honour.
“Thank you, Governor Ademola Adeleke, for the public and unequivocal endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 Presidential Election,” Keyamo stated.
He then added a brief but striking remark that has drawn attention:
“Agreement is agreement.”
The development is likely to generate fresh reactions as political alignments ahead of the 2027 presidential election continue to take shape.
