“I’d Rather Lose Than Join Evil Men” — Michael Crown Breaks Silence on Political Pressure

Hon. Michael Crown has declared that he would rather lose political support than compromise his principles by aligning with what he described as “evil men.”
In a strongly worded statement, the Okigwe South Federal Constituency hopeful reaffirmed his commitment to justice, integrity, and people-oriented leadership, insisting that true leadership must always prioritize the welfare of the people over political interests.
According to Crown, history celebrates individuals who stood for what was right rather than those who achieved victory by sacrificing their conscience.
Addressing residents of Ehime Mbano, Ihitte/Uboma, and Obowo, the politician maintained that the challenges facing Okigwe South require sincere leadership rather than political maneuvering.
“The solution is not more political games; it is honest leadership driven by the needs of the people,” he stated.
Crown stressed that his loyalty remains with the people of the constituency, noting that leadership is a mandate given by the people and must be exercised for their benefit.
He further declared that he was prepared to face opposition if necessary in his quest to defend the interests of the people, adding that the future of Okigwe South must be built on trust, accountability, and collective progress rather than fear, deception, or selfish interests.
Reaffirming his position, Crown said he would always choose service, integrity, and the people over political alliances that conflict with his values.
“If the choice is between winning with evil men and losing with the people, I will always stand with the people,” he declared.
The statement has sparked discussions among political stakeholders and supporters across Okigwe South ahead of future political engagements in the constituency.
