Dr. Agu revealed that, in addition to the ten existing registered support groups, fourteen new groups have expressed interest in partnering with the Directorate of Support Groups, Diaspora Affairs, CSOs, and NGOs to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence. He disclosed that in addition to the ten existing registered support groups, fourteen new ones have indicated interest in partnering with the directorate to expand the party’s grassroots reach. Among these are I Stand with ADC, The Igbo Liberation Prayer Network, and The New Mandate National Movement, among others committed to promoting the party’s ideals.

Dr. Agu also urged Nigerians, particularly ADC supporters, to participate actively in the ongoing voter registration exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). “Do not say your vote won’t count,” he said. “The first step toward change is getting your voter’s card. Let’s do the needful.”

In his remarks, the party’s Director of INEC and Electoral Matters, Hon. Emeka Nwaokeke (Iroko), commended the dedication of the various support groups and urged members to go beyond expressions of support by formally registering with the party in their wards.

Also speaking, the ADC State Chairman, Prof. James Okoroma, expressed satisfaction with the turnout and enthusiasm of members. He described the current state of governance in the country as “a sign of systemic collapse”, stressing that recent reports of political instability underscore the urgent need for credible leadership.

Prof. Okoroma pointed out that the African Democratic Congress remains the most credible alternative for good governance in Nigeria. “With the commitment and unity we are witnessing today,” he said, “ADC is well-positioned to rise to the challenge and deliver victory come 2027.”
