The Ogun State Police Command has launched a full-scale investigation into the shocking deaths of former Ogun State Television (OGTV) broadcaster, Mrs. Kitan Oyesiku, and her security guard, whose bodies were discovered under disturbing circumstances at her residence in Iyana Agodo Village, Owode-Egba.
The command confirmed the incident on Sunday through its spokesperson, CSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, revealing that the tragedy came to light after a concerned resident reported suspicious activities around the property.

According to Babaseyi, police officers who responded to the alert discovered signs of forced entry and evidence that the residence had been ransacked.
During a search of the premises, the body of the security guard was found at his duty post, while Mrs. Oyesiku’s corpse was later discovered inside her apartment.
Adding to the mystery, the deceased broadcaster’s vehicle was nowhere to be found, raising strong suspicions of foul play.
“Police detectives were immediately deployed to the scene, where preliminary assessment revealed signs of forced entry and disturbance,” Babaseyi stated.
“During a thorough search of the premises, the corpse of the security guard was discovered within the security post, while the body of Ms. Oyesiku was later found inside her apartment. The victim’s vehicle was also observed missing from the premises.”
Following the grim discovery, the Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, directed detectives to commence an intensive investigation aimed at identifying and apprehending those behind the killings.
The police said intelligence-driven operations and surveillance activities have been expanded across strategic locations to uncover the circumstances surrounding the deaths and recover the missing vehicle.
While expressing condolences to the families of the deceased, the management of OGTV, and the media community, the command described the incident as tragic and appealed to members of the public to remain calm and provide any useful information that could assist investigators.
The deaths of the veteran broadcaster and her security guard have left residents and colleagues searching for answers as police work to unravel what truly happened inside the residence.
