Imo Deputy Gov, Ekomaru tasks South East Zone Proprietors of Private Schools on fostering quality education 

The Imo Deputy Governor, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru has urged Proprietors of Private Schools in the South East Zone to do more in the Areas of fostering qualitative education, good leadership values in children and youths of the Region.

 

The deputy governor tasked the proprietors on such while declaring open a three day strategic leadership retreat of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) South East Zone recently at the Goshen Retreat Center New Owerri.

 

She stated that the 3R Administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma has performed credibly in transforming the Youths of Imo State through the Skill – Up Imo Program, and urged members of the Association to set out targets towards becoming much more than what they are presently by seeking opportunities and partnerships to support Government Policies and Programs in the Education Sector.

 

Present at the occasion was the immediate past Commissioner in Imo State, Prof. Johnclif Nwadike who highlighted how Imo State is blessed to have the present Deputy Governor.

 

He described Mrs. Ekeomaru as a Teacher and Administrator per Excellence, and advised members of the Association to ensure the maintenance of conducive learning Environment in their Schools.

 

Earlier in her speech, the South East National President of the Association, Amaoa Ezedebego, disclosed that it was the association’s maiden strategic Leadership Retreat in the South East, pointing out that at its end, participants would be equipped with both Principles and Procedures that would form a frame work for robust decision- making that would achieve visions of the organization.

The Event was used to induct the Deputy Governor as a member of the Association by decorating her with the Association’s Uniform.
