Ikuku Oma Empowerment Club doles out N50,000 each to 20 small scale business owners in Nwangele

The Founder of Ikuku Oma Empowerment Club, Hon. Edith Nwosu has doled out N50, 000 each to 20 small scale business enterprises owners in Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State.

The event which took place at Rockview Hotel in Owerri the state capital had the beneficiaries from diverse Wards in the LGA present to receive the package from the traditional Rulers, and other dignitaries who were present to witness the event.

Speaking, the founder of the club who is also the founder of EdithNwosu Health Care Foundation for Children, appreciated all that were present in the ceremony, especially the Chairman of Nwangele Local Government Council of Traditional Rulers, HRH Eze Ononeyi Uzoma, HRH Eze Dr. Collins Ofumbadi Onuoha, Chief Lasbrey Njoku, among others for gracing the occasion.

She also expressed joy that the event held, saying that many were thinking it would be one of those promises politicians make that they dont keep.

She further made the people to understand that her word is her bound as she is committed to aiding humanity in the best way she could.

She continued, “It is my passion to see that lives are impacted, and so we are here to empower small scale enterprises, to give what I call business support funds of N50,000 to 20 small scale business enterprises owners from each Ward across Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State.

“We want to in our own little way increase productivity, and human capital development no matter how small what we are doing is, and so I urge the beneficiaries to see that they judiciously utilize the fund by adding it to their businesses to make extra profit.

Adding his voice, the Secretary of the Nwangele Local Government Council, Barr. Chike Ofoma commended Ikuku Oma for what she is doing to aid humanity, saying that most government officials who have what it takes to do so are not doing such.

Ofoma onbehalf of the LGA Council Chairman urged her to keep it up, saying that they are solidly behind her, and will always support her the best way they could.

He therefore advised the beneficiaries to endeavor to utilize the funds well like the persons in the bible who put the talents given to them to proper use, and then made profit from it.

He added that it is not the amount that matters but how it is utilized.

Many of the personalities present in the ceremony HRH Eze Ononeyi Uzoma, among others, took turns in lauding the club founder, reiterating that even some well to do personalities who are in a position to do such are not doing it.

They urged her not to grow weary of continuing so, and prayed that God will replenish her purse.

The beneficiaries also unanimously thanked Ikuku Oma, assuring her of making judicious use of the money for their businesses.

Also present in the ceremony were: Humphrey Osuji, Prof. Vitals Ajumbe, Prof. Protus Nathan Uzoma, HRH Eze Ejiogu GM Ezeakaria, Engr. Dr. Emeka Udokporo, Ogujiofor Patience, representating Commissioner for Local Government, and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Mrs Ruby Emele, Chief DrJustice Amadi, among others.
