Gov Uzodimma to address Imo people June 18 at …

The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma will be addressing Imo people on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the State House of Assembly.

This was disclosed in a Special Announcement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, Hon. Declan Emelumba, and made available to newsmen.

This is said to be avenue for the governor to relate to the people how things are going in the State.

The announcement reads:

“In line with his well known principle of Transparency and Accountability in governance, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, Governor of Imo State will on Wednesday, June 18th 2025, present a State of the State address at the State House of Assembly by Noon.

“Being his first major address to the people of the state since he was sworn in for a second tenure on January 20,2024, Governor Uzodimma will use the occasion to avail Imo People of his developmental initiatives, particularly in the first 18 months of his second tenure in office.

“Consequently, some stakeholders have been invited to attend the ceremony holding at the Assembly Complex by Noon. The stakeholders are :

1) All Political office holders, both National and State.

2) Political leaders, including party executives across all political parties

3) Leaders of professional bodies such as NBA, NMA, etc

4) Leaders of Trade Unions

5) Religious leaders

6) Local Government President-Generals of Town Unions in the 27 L.G.A’s

7) Eze- Imo and Chairmen of Local Government Traditional Rulers Councils in the 27 L.G.A’s

8) Members of the Elders Council

9) Leaders of Youth Organizations

10) Leaders of market associations

11) Leaders of transport workers

12) Leaders of civil society organisations.

“Adequate sitting arrangements shall be made at the House of Assembly Complex for all invited, who should be seated at least 30 minutes before the arrival of His Excellency.”
