NOBLEMC Charity Foundation Empowers Indigent Residents Across Imo State

By Obinna Kelvin Ahaka

A leading humanitarian organisation, NOBLEMC Charity Foundation, has extended its end-of-year outreach to indigent men, women and children across Imo State, offering financial support, food items and other relief materials to vulnerable groups during a special event held in Owerri.

Speaking to journalists at the event, the CEO of the foundation, Comrade Vitalis Lebechi, said the initiative was a divine mandate given to him many years ago to uplift the less privileged.

According to him, “God Almighty laid it in my heart to offer help and support to the less privileged—to put smiles on their faces and relieve them of their difficulties. Even with little or no resources, I keep moving from community to community helping widows, widowers, orphans, the poor and the downtrodden. I am grateful for how far God has brought us.”

Comrade Lebechi explained that the foundation has remained consistent in its mission to tackle extreme poverty among vulnerable populations. He noted that the organisation has visited the Owerri Correctional Centre several times, securing the release of inmates who committed bailable offences but lacked the financial capacity to secure their freedom or pay legal fees. Some of these inmates, he said, had spent between three and eight years in custody without help.

The foundation has also extended support to orphanages, widows, widowers, orphans and residents in rural communities, distributing food items, household materials, and cash gifts.

Highlighting other areas of intervention, Lebechi stated that NOBLEMC Charity Foundation regularly visits hospitals to assist patients in critical need, paying medical bills and providing emotional and spiritual support to restore hope.

He used the occasion to appeal for partnerships from well-meaning individuals, corporate bodies and organisations that share the passion for uplifting the less privileged.

“I am calling on men, women and organisations that are interested in bettering lives, those who derive joy in reducing poverty and suffering, to join or partner with NOBLEMC Charity Foundation. Together, we can reach more downtrodden people in our society, and there is abundant grace in doing so,” he said.

Among the beneficiaries of the outreach were the sick, physically challenged persons, orphans, widows, widowers and indigent families across Imo State and beyond.

The event was attended by notable personalities, including the Member representing Onuimo State Constituency, Hon. James Esile, the Executive Chairman of Onuimo Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Dr. Emeka Paul Obi, H.R.H Eze (Sir) Luke Alaneme (Ochi Oha of Okwe Ancient kingdom), Rev. Fr. Michael Ifeanyi Asumugha, Legal Adviser to the foundation Barr. Ifeanyi Ugbaja, Hon. Ekene Nweji (Akusinachi Foundation), Amb. Akalonu Chinedu (Solution) as well as other dignitaries from across the state.
