The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Audu Garba Bosso, PSC(+), mnips, on Thursday, 18th June, 2026, received the State Coordinator of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Imo State, Deputy Director Okeinya Helen, and her entourage, who paid a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters, Owerri.

The visit was aimed at strengthening the existing collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and NAFDAC in combating counterfeit, substandard, and illicit products. The Commissioner highlighted the efforts of the Command’s Anti-Narcotics Unit and stressed the need for increased focus on dealers, suppliers, and distributors of hard drugs and other illicit substances rather than concentrating only on end users. He noted that disrupting the supply chain remains critical to reducing the availability and abuse of illicit drugs.
