BREAKING: Sowore Declared Wanted

By Christy Emeka

The Lagos State Police Command has declared human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, wanted for allegedly plotting to incite public unrest and obstruct major roads across the state.

Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, made the announcement on Monday while addressing journalists at the Iyana-Oworo end of the Third Mainland Bridge.

According to Jimoh, the Command is intensifying efforts to apprehend Sowore and others suspected of coordinating activities aimed at breaching public peace.

“Sowore should report to the nearest police station immediately or risk being arrested wherever he is found,” the Commissioner warned.

“Anyone attempting to cause disturbance or block our roads will face the full weight of the law.”

He further revealed that intelligence reports had uncovered plans by Sowore and his associates to stage protests at key locations, including the Third Mainland Bridge, Lekki Tollgate, and Freedom Park.
