Activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore, alongside Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to the detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, have been released from Kuje Correctional Centre after meeting their bail conditions.

Also released on Monday was Prince Emmanuel Kanu, younger brother of Nnamdi Kanu, and several others who were arrested during the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest held recently in Abuja.

Sowore, who led the protests, was subsequently arrested by the Nigeria Police Force when he visited the Federal High Court in Abuja for Nnamdi Kanu’s trial.

They were arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Kuje Area Council, which eventually granted them bail on Friday.

In a video shared by SaharaReporters on Monday, Sowore, Ejimakor, Prince Emmanuel, and the other activists were seen exiting the prison premises, carrying their belongings and singing solidarity songs.

National Beam gathered that Ejimakor  had earlier collapsed while in custody and was rushed to the Kuje Prison clinic for urgent medical care.
