Opay customer identified as Amaka has narrated how the financial institution’s NightGuard security feature saved aved her from losing her entire life savings.
She narrated that she was about to pay for some personal expenses in Abuja using her Opay wallet when some hoodlums accosted her.
Amaka said they collected her phone, but could not access her fund due to the NightGuard security feature; facial recognition required to log into her Opay account.
She expressed joy that they did not succeed with their plans and wondered what she would have done if they did as she would have suffered a huge loss.
National Beam gathered that the NightGuard feature with its innovative facial recognition technology ensures that only the rightful account-owner can authorise payments during late-night hours, when many are more susceptible to attacks, thus, safeguarding users from potential fraud and unauthorised access to their funds.
We also learnt that it gives complete control, with the ability to customise when active, such that transactions are secure during the hours customers choose.
