The memories of Saturday March 23,2024, will continue to linger in the hearts of Nze Cornelius Duruobasa as the traditional ruler of Eziawo 2 Autonomous community,HRH EZE Engr.Theophilus Onyeneku conferred on him chieftaincy title of Ezeudo 1 of Eziawo Autonomous community Awo-omamma,Oru East LGA Imo state.
Traditionally,Chief Engr.Chris Njoku, the Eze-elect of Eziawo 3, officially presented him to the Eze and his council and he was received by the Traditional Prime Minister, Chief Vincent Duru.

Addressing the intending chief,the royal father said that he is being welcomed to the council of Chiefs, pointing out that every traditional ruler is the Chief security officer of his community.He further stated that the traditional ruler gets information on what is happening in his territory through the chiefs, stressing that their duty as titled men is to ensure that the community moves on well.
Eze Onyeneku said that they are continuing from where their forefathers stopped and that their forefathers cannot come back to life again, adding that it is them the living that will carry out the task.

He admonished him to live up to the tents of the traditional institution, stressing that as a chief,it behoves on him to say the truth always,ensure justice and equity.
The royal father further hinted that as a member of the council of Chiefs, that he can be sent on an errand at anytime by the Eze.
He used the medium to inform him that his chieftaincy title is hereditary, disclosing that it is the culture of his people which they inherited from their forefathers, but regretted that some gullible fellows wants to thwart the tradition.

The royal father prayed for him and his wife and urged him to continue in his good will as a community leader which has been attested by his kinsmen.
Chief Rowland Onyeuka used the medium to clear on critical issue facing the community.He said that it is only a government recognised traditional ruler with staff of office that is permitted to confer chieftaincy title on any person.
Responding shortly after his conferment, Chief Cornelius Duruobasa,the Ezeudo 1 of Eziawo Autonomous community, thanked the royal father for finding him worthy of the title.He said that he is so delighted and happy that his invitees came in spite of their tight schedule.

On his choice of Ezeudo, which means a peace maker,he disclosed that there has been lots of problems emanating from his enlarged family and community which he played a pivotal role towards solving them,adding that his role in problem solving informed the choice of the name by his kinsmen.
He frowned at the attitude of some titled men, stressing that it behoves on everything Chief to uphold the allegiance and oath administered on them, adding that they should not rubbish the traditional institution with scandals.”We are known as title men,we need to live life of examples.His Royal Highness has found me worthy to be crowned Ezeudo and i will live to that expectation “He concluded.

Some of the chiefs present at the installation ceremony include,Chiefs Charles Nwosu, Ernest Ogamba,Ojee Ojinma, Victor Obi, Cajetan Nnanemere, Sir Vincent Duru and Chief Ezeri.
Guests, well-wishers and kinsmen were entertained lavishly at Umuezukwe,the country home of Chief Duruobasa.
