Imo Assembly screens, confirms two more Commissioner Nominees

The Imo State House has screened and confirmed two more Commissioner Nominees.

The nominees are, Mr Jerry Egemba from Ehime Mbano Local Government Area and Mr Ignatius Nwabueze from Oru West local government area.

This took place during the House plenary on Tuesday.

The Speaker, Rt. Chike Olemgbe (APC-Ihitte Uboma), stated that the nominees had been considered during an executive session on their appearance for the screening during the plenary session.

The House Majority Leader, Rt. Hon. Kanayo Onyemaechi, moved the motion for the nominees to be admitted into the chamber for the session and was seconded by the member representing Owerri Municipal, Rt. Hon Clinton Amadi

National Beam reports that the nominees were introduced by the representatives of their constituencies, following which they were confirmed.

After the Ayes had it for the nominees to be confirmed, the Speaker, directed the Clerk, Mrs Chinelo Emeghara to convey the decision of the House to the Governor.

National Beam reports that this is now making it a total of 24 Commissioner nominees confirmed by the House as 22 were earlier confirmed.
