GLOTES honours traditional ruler, Eze Malachi with Doctorate Degree Award

HRH Eze Malachi .O. Onu, Olele 111 of Agbala Ancient Kingdom in Owerri North Local Government Area of the Imo State has bagged a Doctorate Degree Award (Ph.D Honoris Causa) in Human and Community Development

The Award was bestowed on him recently by the Global Theological Seminar Incorporation (GLOTES) Nigeria and United States of America; an arm of Minnesota Graduate School, USA, during their Owerri Zonal Conference cum Award Ceremony at Government College, Okigwe road in Owerri, the state capital.

Speaking earlier, the Founder and Presiding Chancellor of GLOTES, Rev Prof. Emmanuel .C. Isreal noted that they had decided to honour the traditional ruler, Onu alongside other dignitaries for their significant contributions to the Christiandom, and in impact humanity.

The GLOTES founder who described the awardees as, ‘Befitting Christians of African Origin’ averred, “We are honoring these great men and women today because of the enviable achievements they have attained cum services they have been rendering to God and humanity.

“As a reward for good work is more work, we are according them this honour as a way of encouraging them to keep setting the pace for others to follow.”

Responding, Eze Onu who was in company of his people and other dignitaries expressed delight over the award and commended GLOTES for according his such honour.

He further thanked his people who were there to celebrate with him, and assured the association of his resolve to remain resolute in his service to God and humanity, saying it has been his way of life to impact lives.

Some of his people and dignitaries who were present to share in his joy were an Associate Professor in Federal University of Technology Owerri, Dr. Jude Obichere, Hon. Dickson Chike (Cabinet Member), Hon. Cele Ejilugwu (Chief Security Officer), and other community members – Hon. Chima Osuji, Mr Chiekwelibe Ogunonu, Mr Kenneth Echefula, among others.

They expressed joy over the award given to the traditional ruler saying it is a well deserved one as even in their community, the traditional ruler has not given them, his people any reason to regret his emergency as their Royal Father.
