For the said purpose, the members also urged for the governor to direct the Ministry of Health to embark on inspection visit to the community.

Presenting the motion, Iheoha who is also the House Committee Chairman On Commerce and Industry, stated that there is urgent need to train Nurses and Health Professionals to complement the ones being trained at the existing Nursing and Health Colleges in the State.

Hope Uzodinma has tremendously improved the quality of Health services rendered in the State by constructing, upgrading and giving facelift, introducing insurance policies and providing essential medical equipment for the health sector.

“Inyishi as the oldest community in Ikeduru and centrally located to many local government areas and communities, is of high interest, to host the establishment of the College of Nursing.
“This will curtail thousands of Imo citizens going to our neighbouring States of Abia, Anambra, etc to acquire Nursing and Health Training, thereby creating jobs and adding to the economy of such State, instead of that of Imo, ‘Iheoha pointed out.
He therefore called on the legislators to support the establishment of the college in Inyishi, saying that it has all it takes to House such facility and will also ensure there are more trained nurses in the State.
