With clear understanding that it is not given to man to score himself, (not necessarily when entrusted with public office); in any given assignment, contest or related activities, even when he has recorded significant achievements.Also, given the obvious fact that one makes history and another writes it; we have chosen this path to moderately amplify an iota of the accomplishments of an unsung benefactor and enigma.
THIS IS USING THIS MEDIUM TO CELEBRATE A NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, GOVERNORSHIP, PRESIDENTIAL MATERIAL ANYTIME, ANYDAY! A practically kind man, passionate, humble, compassionate, successful entrepreneur and a blessing to humanity, as he marks his birthday anniversary today, Friday, October 4, 2024.What a beautiful and colourful weekend!
In the light of the above, this author brings to the fore, A SHORT MEMOIR OF THE MAN CHIEF KINGSLEY IKECHUKWU OBIALOR, KSJI, (IKUKUOMA,UGOMBA JIRI-BIRI)—a decent character, a prophet already recognised and applauded at home for his unequalled philanthropism.
Indeed, from humble beginnings come great things.The celebrant, Chief Kingsley Obialor (lKUKUOMA), A ENGINEERING AND MEDIA INSTITUTIONS AWARD WINNER, who marks his birthday anniversary today, practically defines a meaningful life.His lifestyle demonstrates meaningful life AS NOT BEING RICH, NOT BEING POPULAR, NOT BEING HIGHLY EDUCATED NOR BEING PERFECT…, rather BEING HUMBLE, BEING STRONG AND BEING ABLE TO SHARE OURSELVES AND TOUCH THE LIVES OF OTHERS.
Interestingly, this philantropist whose rise to stardom is exemplary can be viewed through the prism of Shakespearean expression of greatness as he fits into the category of homosapiens, who achieved greatness by dint of hardwork, meaning, (he was not born with silver spoon in his mouth).
IKUKUOMA is literally a student of the school of thought that believes success isn’t handed to man, rather earned by man, through generosity, grit and determination (and some sacrifice).He is not averse to humble beginnings.He believes that “all big things come from small beginnings.He has always been guided with the phrase that, “The seed of every habit is a single, tiny decision, but as that decision is repeated, a habit sprouts and grows stronger.Roots entrench themselves and branches grow!
Chief Sir Kingsley Ikechukwu Obialor, no doubt is a product of many years of hardwork, dedication and commitment, a man that exudes love and demonstration of fresh air (IKUKUOMA), as the title bestowed on him by his community represents.
Mindedly, this pride of his people IKUKUOMA, was gifted to the family of Chief and Lolo lnnocent Obialor of the sleepy OHAOHIA AMANO-ANARA AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY IN lSIALA MBANO LOCAL GOVERNMENT Area of lmo State slightly above five decades ago.Early in life, he was enrolled for formal education.
Firstly, he acquired his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) at Rumumasi Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Later, he was enrolled for his Secondary education at Stella Maris Secondary School Anara, where he obtained his West African School Certificate (WASC) with flying colours.
IKUKUOMA later gained admission into the prestigious Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, where he obtained his National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificates respectively, (all in Banking and Finance) and graduated with (Upper Credit).
Subsequently, he obtained Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) Certificate (Banking and Finance) from Abuja University, upon completion of the compulsory National Youth Service Programme with Federal Ministry of Works, Abuja.
As one who has a date with destiny, the young IKUKUOMA took the first shot in his career with the former Universal Trust Bank (UTB).He later gained employment with French company based in Abuja named Grandstar Resources Ltd, where he did exceedingly well and found his feet to later become an employer of labour.
In his private establishment, this cerebral and personable philantropist cum astute entrepreneur in the Agricultural and Estate development world, sits comfortably on many boards.As it were, the easy-going and a field marshal of sorts, is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DIAMOND DEVELOPMENT COMPANY LTD, a reputable Civil Engineering and Building Contractors which have grown into conglomerate viz, PROFILE CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTION LTD, ADDED VALUE CONSULT LTD, MACHINIX AND TECHNIX LTD, among others.
Luckily, God blessed this charismatic and an emerging institution of sorts (IKUKUOMA) with a ‘stainless and sumptuous damsel”, Barr Lady Ugochi Judith Obialor (Nee John-Nwosu) LSJl, from ldi-noba Royal dynasty, an offspring of a highly revered monarch, HRH Eze Sir John Nwosu, KSJI, Ojiudo-ldinoba-lsiokwu-lhioma Autonomous Community in Orlu Local Government Area of lmo State.
Gratifyingly, this mother Teresa of sorts (Lolo Ugochi Judith Obialor), literally glued to her husband’s enterprising and philanthropic status to widen the scope of humanitarianism and entrepreneurial fields; the healthy partnership that earned the model family fame and goodwill overtime. The wonderful union also produced awesome children who are all doing well even at their tender age in their various academic callings.
It is therefore pertinent to observe that the man IKUKUOMA can be viewed by many as a gentle giant, a man with a few words. A close range with him unravels his kind of person, hence, a true definition of him is within the author’s reach.DESCRIBING IKUKUOMA AS A MAN WHO CAN NOT BE TOSSED UP AND PUSHED AROUND MAY COMPLETE SUCH DEFINITION. For those who have crossed paths with him, his miem is religiously studied; his mannerism inspires hope and determination to succeed.He is star studded and remained AN lROKO THAT HAS OFFERED MEANINGFUL SHADE TO ALL THOSE IN NEED.WITH THE LITTLE LIFE AND CHANCE HAS TRUSTED IN HIM, HE HAS DISTINQUISHED CREDITABLY.A trip to his community will convince you, as multiple human capital development and infrastructural projects, such as new church building singlehandedly carried out by him are in sight.
Obviously, before this special breed of human was born, it appeared God has placed him to be a blessing to humanity.
Though, the name IKUKUOMA rings a bell given his positive strides among the people from the length and breadth of his immediate Amano Anara Community, lsiala Mbano, Okigwe zone to the global world, IKUKUOMA stands firm as a one man non-governmental personality who believes that one needs not hold any political position to affect the people positively. HE IS AN UNSUNG LEADER WHOSE ACTIONS HAVE INSPIRED OTHERS TO DREAM MORE, LEARN MORE, DO MORE AND BECOME MORE!
We, therefore, align ourselves completely with men and women of goodwill to celebrate this extraordinary specie that has remained totally devoted to God’s service and betterment of the lot of humanity.Having known him within these years of “prolonged closeness”, we attest to the fact that lKUKUOMA is indeed a blessing to this generation as his passion for human capital development is unequalled!
He has really proved that the greatness of a man is in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.It is however recorded in the sands of time and engraved in so many minds that, his act of kindness, empathy, generosity and impactful lifestyle has brought people together to achieve common goals, hence, transforming his local communities in all ramifications and also raised hope in the hearts of those who had almost given up.
Though, this piece is very brief for a good personality he is! As this acclaimed blessing to humanity celebrates his Natal day today, it is our prayers that Almighty God grant him more good health, wisdom and fulfilment in the service of God and humanity.Cheers to your new age IKUKUOMA, UGOMBA!!!
