City Boy Movement (CBM), mostly youths in Imo State on Thursday June, 12, 2025 have staged a Solidarity march in Owerri, the State Capital for President Ahmed Tinubu and the State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma in Commemoration of this year’s Democracy Day.
The unprecedented crowd which converged at the City Boy Movement Secretariat, New Owerri from 10:00 am to begin their rally.
The were seen singing Solidarity Song in support of Alhaji Ahmed Tinubu’s led All Progressives Congress, APC administration along Concord Avenue to Warehouse Junction and Marched to Government House.
Addressing Newsmen, the State Director of City Boy Movement Hon. Goodluck Nwaneri called on Imo Youths to rally round Mr. President in his renewed Hope agenda designed to focus on economic reform, enhanced security, agricultural development, and infrastructure improvement.
Nwaneri who doubles as the South East Coordinator of City Boy Movement said the mantra has driven sustainable growth, created job opportunities, and improved the quality of life for citizens, especially the Youths.
He further commended the State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma for making a notable progress in Infrastructural development, pointing out that all major roads leading to the State capital have been reconstructed for better usage.
Prince Francis Uzoh, the Imo State Coordinator, City Boy Movement applauded President Tinubu for creating South East Development Commission (SEDC).
He averred that young Nigerians are benefitting a lot under the present Administration of Ahmed Tinubu, calling on youths to support the Government.
Hon. Shehu Olaniyi, National Executive Member of CBM who represented the CBM President recounted that President Tinubu was among the leaders who fought for the enthronement of Democracy in Nigeria, urging Imo people to be patient with him.
The former President National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) and House of Assembly member in Oyo State described the President as a Visionary, focused and dependable leader.
He further thanked the State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma for complementing the efforts of the Number one citizen of the Country, Nigeria.
Earlier, the Imo State Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent hunt Hon. Emeka Mandela Uzoegbu who received the mammoth crowd at the Government House assured the CBM group that Imo State is at home with the President.
While appreciating the City Boy Movement, Uzoegbu posited that the people of the State acknowledged the numerous projects by the President to South East, especially, the South East Development Commission (SEDC)
