The Permanent Member II of Ebonyi State Universal Basic Education Board UBEB, Mr Chijioke Nwuzor Urged the Nigeria’s Government to boost security in all parts of the country.
The Board member made this appeal in his interactions with journalists immediately after his thanksgiving ceremony which he organized to thank God for saving him from the hands of the kidnappers who kidnapped him on his way from Abuja to Ebonyi State on 21st October, 2025.
Mr Chijioke said it took the intervention of Ebonyi State Government to rescue him.
“On that fateful day, 21st October, 2025, I was coming back from Abuja to Ebonyi State, getting to Alioma and Ejule in Kogi state, we were kidnapped into a tick forest for 6 good days with torture and uncertainty but thank God that I was rescued”. He added.
He called on the Government of Nigeria to see insecurity as one of the greatest changes facing the country and it must be tackled.
“It’s unfortunate that Nigerians live on perpetual fear every day, I cannot believe that those kidnappers have grown above government. These are the people that have residence, they have locations and as such could be tackled “. He added.
The UBEB chairman, Mrs Patience Ogodo said it was a miracle from God the way Mr Chijioke Nwuzor was rescued from the hands of the hoodlums. She gave God the glory.
