Pantami Emerges PDP Governorship Candidate in Gombe

Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, has emerged as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2027 election in Gombe State.
Pantami was officially declared the party’s candidate on Tuesday during a gathering attended by former Gombe State governor and senator, Ibrahim Dankwambo.
Reports indicate that Pantami, who recently withdrew from the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary race, approached PDP leaders in Gombe to seek the party’s ticket, which was subsequently granted.
Pantami previously served as Minister of Communications and Digital Economy under former President Muhammadu Buhari from 2019 to 2023.
