Former Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, was reportedly taken into custody on Wednesday shortly after arriving at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, aboard a chartered flight from Enugu.
Sources revealed that security operatives apprehended the former minister upon arrival, with indications that he may be handed over to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for questioning.

The development comes amid an ongoing investigation into allegations that Nnaji forged academic certificates — claims that reportedly led to his resignation from office last year.
The ICPC had been searching for the former minister in connection with the probe. However, Nnaji had repeatedly dismissed reports suggesting he was evading authorities, maintaining that he was neither in hiding nor avoiding any investigation.
His latest encounter with lawyers from anti-corruption investigators.
With his reported arrest now making headlines, attention is shifting to what the ICPC may uncover as the long-running certificate forgery controversy enters a new phase.
