Clergy advises Imo workers to take authority of their destiny

As the year is coming to an end, a Minister of God and General Overseer of a Prayer Ministry “Basic Ministry of Christ”, Rev Peter Itubochi has admonished Imo workers to take authority of their destiny in Christ Jesus.

The Servant of God who made this call recently during the October monthly prayer meeting under the umbrella of “Imo State Christian Workers Network” at the State Secretariat, Port Harcourt Road, Owerri, Imo State.

He recounted that “Ember Month” is usually associated with Challenges, saying it is a time when forces of darkness afflict the Children of God in various ways, like accidents, sickness and hardships. He noted that the only way to being saved is to look upon God.

He disclosed that the theme of the spiritual exercise: “Taking Authority of your destiny” was centered on the Scripture, Jeremiah 29 versus 11 where the Lord declares for He knows the plans He has for us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us a future and a hope, referencing Abraham as one of those in the bible who took their destiny in their hands. He cited the book of Genesis 12 versus 1 to 5 where God promised Abraham to establishing him and making him the father of the earth.

According to him, Joseph, David, Samuel, Moses, Joshua, Mary the Mother of Jesus Chris were also among those who fulfilled their destinies

The Great Man of God posited during his preaching that God knows the destiny of everyone even before birth.

The Catholic faithful further stressed the need for one to fulfil his destiny without loosing it, noting that the challenges people face in fulfilling their destiny are the destiny killers and hijackers.

He reminded them of how Sampson, Saul and Judas Iscariot lost their destiny along the line. He also pointed out that Peter had wanted to loose his destiny but recovered it.

He therefore charged them to believe in God as the author and finisher of the faith.

Meanwhile, the general Coordinator, Engr Pst Charles Osondu Azuike expressed delight for the turn out of the people for the Prayer meeting, urging them to always take it seriously.

He informed that it was a monthly program where the members in the Ministry come out once in a month to reference God.
