Legendary highlife singer Kabaka dies at 77

Popular Nigerian Highlife Maestro, Godwin Chukwuemeka Opara popularly known as ‘kabaka’ is dead.

The music icon who pioneered and revolutionised Highlife music died on Thursday, March 21, at the age of 77. His management, Derda Promotions, confirmed the sad news in a statement on Friday.

He was said to have died after suffering from an undisclosed illness.
