The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Zone C (South East), has commended His Royal Majesty, Eze Anthony Emeh, of Mbutu-Nworie Autonomous Community, Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, for selecting the Union’s Vice President, Comrade Ezenwa Adiuku, JP, for a chieftaincy conferment.

The commendation was contained in a letter issued by the Zonal Leadership of NUJ Zone C, which comprises the five South-East states, and signed by the Zonal Secretary, Comrade Emmanuel Idam Irem, KSJI.

According to the letter, Comrade Adiuku is to be honoured with the traditional title “Chnaetugo”, with the conferment ceremony scheduled to take place on December 31, 2025.

The NUJ described the selection as a recognition of Comrade Adiuku’s exemplary conduct, integrity, and positive contributions to society and the community, noting that the honour reflects the values he has upheld over the years.

The Union expressed deep appreciation to the traditional ruler and his council for the recognition, pledging the continued loyalty and support of NUJ Zone C to the throne of Eze Anthony Emeh.

NUJ further assured that its Vice President would not disappoint the royal institution, adding that Comrade Adiuku would, in his own capacity, contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of Mbutu-Nworie Autonomous Community.

The letter concluded with congratulations to Eze Anthony Emeh and the Eze-in-Council for what the Union described as a well-deserved and thoughtful choice.
