The President General of Owerrezurumee People’s Assembly, and former member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Hon. Chief Wisdom Ekewuba, JP, has officially defeated from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Ekewuba disclosed this on Tuesday while briefing newsmen in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

Speaking, he pointed out that the PDP is in shambles, and has lost its glory.

Hear him, “Am officially moving to the All Progressives Congress, APC, which I am very elated about.

“I have been a member of the Peoples Democratic Party for several years, and even contested under the party as former Imo State House of Assembly Aspirant for Owerri West, but today, the party is now in doom, and so as a young politician I cannot continue to be part of them because, I can’t be in a party where there is crisis.

“The most disheartening issue there is that instead of them to think of a solution to the problem, and look for a way unite all the members, they are busy fighting themselves.

“So that’s why am leaving PDP to join our able Representative, Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi who has also defeated to APC, to bring the dividend of democracy to our people from Owerri Zone. He has been giving our people quality representation as a two time House of Representative members, and I know he has taken such decision for more good things to come for our Zone.

So that is part of why am joining the APC to support him, in ensuring that what is due our Zone does not elude us.

“The governor has said he believes in Charter of Equity and we can’t be in opposition party and be fighting for Owerri Zone successor in 2027. So I had to join the ruling party so our opinions, ideas can count, and for our voices to be heard on how we feel about Owerri person succeeding the governor in 2027, ‘ Ekewuba stated’.

The PG further commended Governor Hope Uzodimma, saying, “His Excellence Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has been doing well so far, as nobody is perfect, and I believe that after the court cases over the past election, that he will relax to perfect what he has began in the state”.

He therefore called on the people of the state to know that the time for elections has passed, and that it is now time for everyone to work in synergy, and support the governor to do more for Imolites.
