After a cagey first half that ended goalless, Akor Adams broke the deadlock shortly after the restart, pouncing on a defensive blunder to hand Nigeria the lead. Gabon, however, drew level four minutes from full time, forcing the match into extra time.
Chidera Ejuke restored Nigeria’s advantage with a calm finish before Osimhen took charge, bagging a quick brace to seal an emphatic win for the three-time African champions.
