WAFCON 2026: Super Falcons Discover Quarter-Final Opponents as Three Blockbuster Fixtures Emerge

The knockout stage of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) is beginning to take shape, with three mouthwatering quarter-final fixtures now officially confirmed following the conclusion of the Group C matches.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons sealed their place in the last eight in emphatic fashion, demolishing Egypt 6-2 to finish second in Group C. Their reward is a high-stakes quarter-final showdown against Cameroon this weekend.

Elsewhere, defending champions South Africa are set for a thrilling clash against tournament hosts Morocco, while Ivory Coast will battle Algeria for a place in the semi-finals.

Malawi, however, must wait a little longer to discover their quarter-final opponents, with either Ghana or Mali standing in their path depending on the outcome of the remaining fixtures.

The WAFCON quarter-finals kick off on Saturday, with only four teams earning the right to progress to the semi-finals in the race for continental glory.
