FFK Confirms Killing Of Christians, Say Anyone Debunking It Is Not Being Truthful

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK), has warned that Christians in Nigeria are being deliberately targeted and killed, describing the denial of such attacks as dangerous and misleading.

FFK made the remarks on Tuesday while reacting to the renewed wave of killings and mass abductions across the country. He criticised those who argue that Christians are not being killed, dismissing such claims as “a monstrous mendacity.”

According to him, individuals who deny or downplay the attacks on Christians are “perfidious propagandists, genocide enablers, and specious liars.”

Although he emphasised that Christians are heavily affected, FFK stressed that the country’s security crisis cuts across religious lines, with Muslims also falling victim to terrorists.

“What must be clearly understood, however, is that Muslims are also targeted and killed by the same terrorists in equal numbers,” he said, noting that extremist groups are indiscriminately attacking innocent citizens regardless of their faith.

He cited recent incidents, including the abduction of 25 schoolgirls and the killing of a school principal in Kebbi State, the kidnapping of 64 residents in Tsafe, Zamfara, and the killing of three persons—all involving Muslim victims.

He contrasted these with the abduction of a Catholic priest and 12 girls in Kagarko, Kaduna State, as well as the recent ambush on Army officers, including a Brigadier General, in Borno State, where both Christians and Muslims were affected.

“They only care about the spilling of innocent blood and abduction of our people,” he said, urging authorities to take more decisive action against the perpetrators.

FFK’s comments come amid ongoing claims by US lawmakers that Christians are facing persecution in Nigeria—an allegation Nigerian authorities have repeatedly denied but which is now being reviewed by US officials.
