Imo youth lights up Ama Hausa community …Says, “you don’t need a title to make a difference

A young Nigerian youth from Imo State in Uzoagba in Ikeduru local government area of the State, named Promise Nyeaka  Chidera has installed Solar Energy Street Lights at Ama Hausa and Old nekede road axis, off the popular Douglas road in the Owerri the state capital.

The solar street lights was installed at a strategic locations in Ama Hausa community and around the area.

When interviewed on the rationale for embarking on such a capital intensive project, which was numbering up to twenty Solar Lights, he said, ” I am blessed with the passion to serve the people in any capacity available for me to serve”

Promise Nyeaka better known as UPDATE; a Young graduate of Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) with a first class honours degree in electrical and electronics engineering, went further to say “I believed every contribution towards a better society counts. You Don’t Need A Title To Make A Difference”

He opined that as citizens of this nation, we don’t need to rely on the government always to do everything for the masses.

“I extracted my inspiration from the altruistic of the Imo State Governor, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma (Onwa Onyoko) who is a magnificence governor, seeing the quality of good roads he is constructing and other ongoing infrastructural development in the State”.

He indicated that he is a strong supporter of Imo State governor and a true believer his 3R Shared Prosperity mantra.

Nyeaka who was a councillorship aspirant at the just concluded local government and councillorship election, in Uzoagba ward in Ikeduru LGA, stated ” A call for a better society requires involvement of all in order to assist the government.

He further asserted that installing of these street solar energy lights will aid in providing security to the environment, safety and quality good night life in the area.

He ended by saying, ” my commitment towards community development, service to humanity, willingness to serve, empower and inspire other youths to key into making a positive impact in the community and the society at large remains unwavering. I don’t seek praise or recognition for my reward lies in making a positive impact in the society, ‘Nyeaka stated’.

Arriving at the Ama Hausa community for execution of his intent, Nyeaka and his friends were received at the palace of Saraki, who was unavailable but was represented by Honourable Alhaji Sulaiman Ibrahim Senior Special Assistant to Governor Hope Uzodimma on Gender and Vulnerable Groups(Men) Northern Affairs together with other leaders of the Hausa community.

Hon. Alhaji Sulaiman expressed satisfaction for such a benevolent act from the young youth, and thanked him immensely for lighting up the community.

He equally prayed for him and asked God Almighty to continue protecting and guiding him in achieving all his good intentions.

Hon Usman Bala a resident in Ama Hausa community, who also aspired for the position of councillorship of the ward at Ama Hausa, expressed gratitude to Mr Nyeaka  for carrying out such highly capital intensive project in the community.

He averred that he was happy witnessing one of his intentions for the ward being actualized by his good friend; Mr Promise Nyeaka Chidera.

Usman further assured of the protection of these installed solar energy street lights in the community.
