The Commissioner of Police Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, on the 11th of July, 2024, received a brand new Daihatsu Mini Bus donated to Ogbaku Divisional Headquarters by the Nsokpo Community, Ogbaku, in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State.
This was disclosed to newsmen, on Thursday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Henry Okoye.
Speaking during the vehicle presentation shortly after a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police at the Command headquarters, Owerri, the President-General of Nsokpor Community, Elder Ernest Akaire commended the CP’s relentless efforts and community policing approach to tackling crime in the State.
He emphasized that the donation of the vehicle was part of his Community’s support to Command in the onslaughts against all forms of violent crimes in the State.
Responding, the Commissioner of Police appreciated the leaders of the Nsokpo Community for their immense support to the Command.
He assured strategic deployment of the minibus for surveillance patrol, crime prevention, and control in Nsokpor and other communities in Ogbaku.
Recognizing the importance of citizens participation in the onslaught against crimes, CP Aboki Danjuma encouraged the President General of Nsokpo and other areas in the State to continue to sensitize their community members on the need to support the Police and other security agencies by reporting any suspicious person or activity observed within their vicinity to the nearest Police Station or via the Command’s emergency lines as security is everybody’s business.
The CP reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to enhancing the safety, security, and well-being of the entire residents of Imo State for economic growth and prosperity.
