Legal luminary and former Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Chief (Barr)Chris Okewulonu has asked members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State to reaffirm their loyalty to President Bola Tinubu and the Director General of the Renewed Hope initiative of Mr. President and Governor of Imo State,Senator Hope Uzodimma, by trooping out enmass to participate in the party’s E-registration exercise.
They have been advised to proceed to their various wards or,alternatively, use the provided online platforms to formally complete their E-registration as members of the APC with a reminder that it is by indulging in this party obligation that they will be in a good stead to ensure that the political transformation of Imo State and Southeast geopolitical zone by Governor Hope Uzodimma goes on seamlessly.
Chief Okewulonu gave this charge in a statement he issued in Owerri, the Imo State capital,in respect of the ongoing revalidation of membership of the APC, as well as the registration of new members of the party.
The legal luminary emphasised that there is the need to sustain the high tempo of sociopolitical and economic developments, which the APC under the leadership of Governor Uzodimma have brought to bear not just in Imo State, but in the entire Southeast zone.
Okewulonu, who described Uzodimma as “a political generallismo whose midas touch in leadership and infrastructural developments has positively endeared the APC to the good people of Imo State and the Southeast zone,” urged members of the party to redouble their support and commitment in order to ensure a resounding success of the party in 2027.
According to him : “Nobody believed that the APC can make the tremendous inroads it has made in the Southeast zone, but Governor Uzodimma made it possible. Where others stumbled, he effortlessly sailed through. That is unparalleled leadership and administrative ingenuity.”
He reminded members of the party that ongoing E-registration provides a good opportunity for them to reaffirm their commitment to the party and loyalty to President Bola Tinubu and Governor Hope Uzodimma as leaders of the party in Nigeria and Southeast zone, respectively.
He stated that 2027 will be a remarkable turning point in the life and activities of the APC, pointing out that “we need more members and all hands to also be on deck in order to firmly drive the Renewed Hope mantra of Mr. President of which our governor is the Director General.”
Okewulonu implored APC members to take full advantage of the E-registration, which he noted is novel and unprecedented in party membership registration in Nigeria. ” This innovation is laudable. Even if you don’t want to physically be at your ward, you can still register as a member of our great party using the online registration portal provided by our party.
The registration exercise is simple, convenient,and seamless. I really thank the national leadership of our party for this unparalleled innovation and vision,” the former SGI stated.
