As electioneering-campaign activities heralding the awaited Local Government Council polls in Imo state gather momentum,a frontline grassroot politician and topmost contender for the Seat of Ezinihite Ward ahead of the Councilorship Election under the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC,Hon(Sir) George-Bede Duru,has promised to run an all-inclusive representation of his people,as well as,ensure the provision of quality primary education among children in Ezinihite Ward,if elected Councilor.
Speaking in an interactive session with STAR POST Express Newspaper on Saturday, August,10,2024,Hon.Duru,said that the urgent need to reunite the people of Ezinihite Ward reputed as the most-populous geo-political ward in Mbaitoli LGA to speak in one accord for avowed socio-political and economic progress largely informed his decision to contest the councilorship election, even as he maintained also that he is determined to carry all and sundry along in the scheme of things to achieve greater heights anchored in unity of purpose.
According to him,if given the opportunity to serve the people of Ezinihite Ward as Councilor in the awaited election,he will ensure that people of the ward have access to quality primary health care delivery by way of revamping the non-functioning primary health care units in the ward, provide for good inter-community link road-network,attract investment partners to the ward for development purposes, together with genuine women and youths empowerment packages.
Also appealing for support of the people of Ezinihite Ward in both the primary and Councilorship Election proper,the APC Councilorship hopeful, however promised to fullfil his election-campaign pledges to the latter for posterity sake, having been driven by the desire to do good to his people as a seasoned gentleman-politician and community leader.
It would be recalled that Hon.George-Bede Duru was the chief-of-staff and Senior legislative Aide to the former Imo House of Assembly member for Mbaitoli state-constituency,Hon.Ifeanyi Nnataraonye (Olugbu).
He is a devout christian of the Catholic Faith. He is married with children.
