Goodluck Nwaneri inducted as Director of City Boy Movement in Imo, donates brand new edifice to group …Bags ‘Ambassador of Peace’ award

The City Boy Movement powered by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his son; Mr Seyi Tinubu, as the grand Patron, has inaugurated the Imo State chapter of its body, as Goodluck Nwaneri was inducted as the Director of the group in the State.

The inauguration which took place on Saturday, at Protea Hotel in Owerri Imo State capital, during the group’s Stakeholders Engagement for Imo youths on understanding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope initiative, had numerous dignitaries from the City Boy Movement, and other personalities within and outside the state gathered to witness the ceremony.

Speaking, the Imo City Boy Movement Director, Nwaneri expressed joy over his new portfolio, and assured the people of not disappointing in the confidence they have reposed in him and other executives of the group; the State Coordinator, Prince Francis Uzor, among others.

Demonstrating his love and passion in transcending the movement to a greater height in Imo, the philanthropist donated a brand new office to group.

At the commissioning of the office located at Area H New Owerri, Hon. Goodluck Nwaneri described President Tinubu as one of Nigeria’s most visionary and youth-friendly leaders. He urged Imo residents to align themselves with the goals of the movement and rally behind Tinubu’s leadership.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the only leader who has genuinely prioritized Nigerian youths, appointing several into key positions. This shows that he believes in our capacity to lead and transform this nation,” Nwaneri averred’.

He further pledged full support to the City Boy Movement, both in action and resources. “We will support this movement with our time, energy, funds, and most importantly, love. I am proud to donate this office to ensure the success of this vision in Imo State,” he said.

Nwaneri also called on Imo indigenes in diaspora to join the effort, noting that their contributions would be instrumental in realizing the re-election bid of President Tinubu in 2027.

Highlighting his philanthropic works, Nwaneri recounted how his foundation had paid off hospital bills for indigent patients, sponsored JAMB registrations for over 2,000 students, and distributed free fuel to more than 4,000 commercial vehicle operators in Imo State. He assured the public of his continued commitment to humanitarian service.

Later the same day, Hon. Nwaneri received the Ambassador of Peace award from a coalition of Imo youths during the Imo Youth Stakeholders Security Summit, held at Rockview Hotel and organized by the Ministry of Youth Development and Talent Hunt. The award was presented in recognition of his consistent efforts in promoting peace, youth empowerment, and community development.

In his acceptance remarks, Nwaneri dedicated the award to the people of Imo and reaffirmed his belief that sustainable peace is not just possible but essential for the state’s progress.

Representing the Grand Patron of the City Boy Movement, Mr. Seyi Tinubu during the Stakeholders Engagement was the Director General of the group, Hon. Francis Oluwatosi Shoga who congratulated Goodluck Nwaneri, and his team on their new appointments.

Shogu charged them to be steadfast in disseminating the good plans and programmes of the movement to Imo people, and to ensure they are benefiting from them.

Shogu dwelling on the President’s renewed hope initiatives, urged Imolites to key into the programmes, adding that many have benefited from it, and so Imolites should utilize the opportunity as it has been brought to there door step.

The Imo State Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent, Dr. Mandela Ukaegbu, the representative of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Youth Initiative, Titilope Gbadamosi, the representative of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement, Barr. Chioma .J. Nweze, former All Progressive Congress, APC State Chairman, High Chief Barr. Marcon Nlemigbo, Vice Chairman of Owerri West, Hon. Osinachi Amako, among others were present to witness the event, and also give their goodwill messages.

The highpoint of the ceremony was Hon. Goodluck Nwaneri and his team being handed over the City Boy Movement Flag.
