Alleged Impersonation of Obi-Mbieri Traditional Prime Ministership: Kyrian Ndikom Is Not My TPM – HRH Eze Osuji

Extremely worried by the incessant impersonation of the office of Obi-Mbieri Traditional Prime Minister by one of his subjects, Kyrian Ndikom,the Traditional Ruler of Obi-Mbieri Autonomous Community in Mbaitoli LGA,HRH Eze J.N.Osuji,has swiftly reacted to the recent visit for recognition to the Executive Chairman of Mbaitoli LGA,Hon.Ifunanya Nwanegwo at the Council headquarters, Nwaorieubi by Kyrian Ndikom who he said is falsely claiming to be the Traditional Prime Minister of Obi-Mbieri Autonomous Community.

The Monarch called for caution, insisting that Obi Mbieri indegenes and the Eze- in- council know that Kyrian Ndikom is not the TPM of the Community, hence, the Monarch did not appoint or delegate him to act as such.

In a statement issued by the Traditional Ruler, refuting the unfounded claims by Ndikom and co-impersonators who visited the Mbaitoli Council Chairman, the Obi-Mbieri Monarch, informed that the appointment of Traditional Prime Minister is strictly the prerogative of the Traditional Ruler, adding that the case of impersonation of office of the Obi-Mbieri TPM,has been resolved earlier before now by the Mbaitoli Council of Traditional Rulers led by its Chairman,the Traditional Ruler of Ishi-Ubomiri Autonomous Community,HRH Eze Saint George Ekeh, in which Kyrian Ndikom was sternly warned to desist from parading himself as TPM because HRH Eze J.N.Osuji neither appointed him nor authorized him to work in that capacity on behalf of the community.

According to the statement, the Mbaitoli Council Boss is not well informed as the Ministry of Local Government And Chieftaincy Affairs does not recognize such position and is alien to the laws to them, adding that it is not recognized by chieftaincy laws of Imo state,but strictly the prerogative of the Traditional Ruler.

The Obi-Mbieri Monarch, however used the opportunity to notify the Mbaitoli Council Chairman and other relevant authorities in Mbaitoli LGA and Imo state at large that Kyrian Ndikom is not the TPM of Obi-Mbieri Autonomous Community and should henceforth,stop parading himself as such,so as to avoid the wrath of the Monarch and security agencies.

The statement also noted with dismay that those in the picture with Kyrian Ndikom and the Mbaitoli Local Government Council Chairman are not even stakeholders,let alone chiefs from Obi-Mbieri Community,informing though that Obi-Mbieri Community has 34 Village Chairmen and 28 Village Heads, even as the Monarch questioned the nativity of the said chiefs and stakeholders who visited the Council Chairman alongside Kyrian Ndikom.

It also frowned at a situation where the authorities at the Mbaitoli Local Government Council, especially the Media Directorate should recognize Kyrian Ndikom even when they know that he is not the Obi-Mbieri TPM appointed by the Monarch and those concerned in Obi-Mbieri Autonomous Community, even as the monarch noted that the Mbaitoli LGA Boss has visited the palace of Obi-Mbieri and he is very much aware of the situation regarding the traditional administration of the community.

The Obi-Mbieri Traditional Ruler, however expressed worry with Ndikom’s speech during the visit, when he stated that” he is a trusted hand holding ground for the Monarch and working tirelessly in line with his instructions to ensure that peace, order,and tradition are upheld”,whereas the Traditional Ruler does not recognize Ndikom, the statement read.
