I Present Myself to Serve with Integrity, Says Isiala Mbano APP Legislative Candidate, Hon. Nwokedi

As the 2027 general election draws closer, the Action Peoples’ Party (APP) candidate for the Isiala Mbano State Constituency seat in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Chibuzor Nwokedi Stephen has pledged to provide transparent, accountable, and people-oriented representation if elected, declaring that his ambition is anchored on integrity and a genuine commitment to public service.

Speaking with our Correspondent on a telephone, yesterday the candidate said his decision to contest the forthcoming election was inspired by a desire to contribute meaningfully to the development of the constituency through responsible and effective legislation.

According to him, leadership should be guided by honesty, accountability, and the collective interest of the people rather than personal ambition.

“I present myself to serve with integrity. The people of Isiala Mbano deserve a representative who will be accessible, transparent, and committed to advancing their interests at the Imo State House of Assembly. My aspiration is driven by the conviction that public office is a trust that must be exercised with sincerity and dedication,” he said.

The APP standard-bearer outlined his legislative priorities to include youth empowerment, improved access to quality education and healthcare, support for agriculture and small businesses, infrastructural development, and advocacy for policies that would enhance the welfare of residents across the constituency.

He further pledged to sustain regular consultations with constituents, noting that effective representation requires continuous engagement with the people to understand their needs and aspirations.

The candidate also called on the electorate to support credible leaders who possess the character, competence, and vision to deliver the dividends of democracy, while urging political actors to conduct their campaigns peacefully and in accordance with the electoral laws.

As campaigns gather momentum ahead of the election, the APP candidate reaffirmed his commitment to running an issue-based campaign, assuring the people of Isiala Mbano that, if elected, he would remain accountable, accessible, and dedicated to promoting legislation that advances the socio-economic development of the constituency.
