Ahead of the proposed September 21, 2024 lmo Council elections, a fast-paced socio-political group in lmo State; lmo Progressive Likeminds, have called on the leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Ihitte/Uboma LGA to support the aspiration of Hon Godbless Nnaemeka Nzenwa (Nemex) to fly its Chairmanship ticket.
In a release by the State leadership of the group under the watch of Mr Godfrey Anyanwu and made available to the media at the weekend, the group said Ihitte/Uboma deserves the leadership of Nemex who has remained loyal to the party since inception.
Anyanwu who disclosed that the group has beamed its searchlight to some Local Government Areas of interest since inception, described Hon Godbless Nnaemeka Nzenwa as a grassroots politician who has maintained close contact with his people, according to him, including women and youths, expressing confidence that the politician will do a great job for Ihitte/Uboma and for the party.
“We know Nemex is a very good and loyal member of his party. He has brought a lot of turnaround to the Party since he joined the ruling Party.He has been supporting the party and ensured it won the Presidential, National Assembly and the lmo State stand-alone Governorship elections, that held last year.
“We want the party leadership to recognize someone who has been a loyal party member who has been in the party and delivered when it mattered most, by helping the party to win elections in his terrain.
Speaking on the capability of the aspirant, Anyanwu maintained that Nemex with his vast knowledge and experience and the team of seasoned civil servants he will work with at the local government, will take Ihitte/Uboma to the next level.
