LG Election: I’m here to serve, ensure my people progresses – Owerri North Chairmanship Candidate, Ahanonu says

Chief Albert Uchenna Ahanonu popularly addressed as Arufuoaku Chukwubuikem from Umuchoko, Obube, in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State, has reiterated his resolve to ensure that his people have all it takes to live a good life.

Ahanonu who is contesting for the Chairmanship position of the LGA, under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, made the submission on Wednesday, when he came to pick the revalidation form at the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission, ISIEC office in Owerri the state capital.

The candidate who has also submitted his revalidation form averred, “It is the desire of my people to see that I represent them for they have envisaged the love I have for them, humanity and my eagerness to impact lives.

“It is not about what the country can do for you, but what you can do for the country to make sure it’s inhabitants are progressing, which is what I have come to do for my people.

“This is a call to serve, and so my interest is to use my wealth of knowledge and experience to better the lots of my people.

“I am optimistic that I will win cos I know my people will vote for me,’Ahanonu averred.

Fielding the question on how he perceives the Zoning formular, he said, ” I subscribe to having the best candidate contest for diverse positions. The economy today not only in Nigeria, but globally is like a diving Airplane on the verge of clashing.

“In such situation, you don’t sit down waiting for the best pilot to come and save the situation, but looks forward to a person who has the capacity to do so at the moment.

“So for me, what am after is for qualified candidates who will offer the people quality representation to be elected into various political offices.”
