The United States government has released a fresh deportation list containing the names of 124 Nigerians as President Donald Trump intensifies immigration enforcement under his administration’s sweeping reform agenda.
The revelation was contained in a statement published on Wednesday by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which said the action forms part of an ongoing nationwide deportation campaign targeting individuals described as criminal aliens.
According to DHS, officials of the department and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are implementing President Trump’s directive to carry out large-scale deportations, beginning with individuals considered the “worst of the worst.”
The agency subsequently published the names of 124 Nigerians among those listed for deportation, including Sunday Adediora, Sunday Kunkushi, Mkpouto Etukudoh, Marcus Unigwe, Olaniyi Ojikutu, Boluwaji Akingunsoye, Ejike Asiegbunam, Emmanuel Mayegun Adeola, Bamidele Bolatiwa, Ifeanyi Nwaozomudoh, and several others.
The development is the latest in a series of strict immigration measures rolled out since Trump returned to the White House on January 20, 2025. The administration has repeatedly vowed to strengthen border security and accelerate deportations of undocumented migrants and individuals found to have violated U.S. immigration laws.
The updated list has sparked fresh attention among Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora as authorities continue to expand enforcement operations across the United States.
