“Why Una No Dey Wear Ring?” — Anita Joseph Calls Out Married Men in Viral Post

Nollywood actress Anita Joseph has sparked online debate after questioning why many married men refuse to wear their wedding rings.

In a viral Instagram post, the actress expressed concern over what she described as men’s reluctance to proudly display their marital status. Anita, who recently went through a divorce, did not mince words as she challenged husbands to do better.

“But men, why una no dey wear una wedding band? This year una go hear quotes tire,” she wrote.

According to her, the wedding ring goes beyond fashion, describing it as a symbol of assurance and commitment to one’s wife.

“Your wedding band is a kind of assurance to your wife. In as much as it’s just a ring, it’s a promise to your wife that you’re still here and still got her,” she added.

It will be recalled that 2025 was a bittersweet year for Anita, as she confirmed the end of her five-year marriage to MC Fish in December. Reflecting on the split, the actress said life tests people in unexpected ways, especially in marriage.

She revealed she has been passing through a season of deep reflection, pain, and healing, choosing grace, growth, and faith as her focus.

Following the divorce, Anita made it clear that she is currently single and not searching for a new partner, despite receiving numerous calls from interested men.

She also noted that spending eight years and 11 days with someone is far different from eight months, stressing the need to clear her head before moving on.
