Yvonne Jegede Explodes Over Insecurity, Sends Strong Message to Tinubu Govt

Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has openly criticised the Bola Tinubu administration over its handling of the country’s worsening security situation, accusing the government of lacking compassion for ordinary Nigerians.
The actress expressed her concerns in a post on Instagram, where she argued that the real problem is not only the prevalence of crime but also what she described as the government’s inadequate response to the crisis.
According to Jegede, many Nigerians feel abandoned because they believe little effort is made to rescue victims or ensure justice when crimes occur.
“The Nigerian government lacks a sense of humanity,” she wrote.
Addressing President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, the actress stated that Nigerians should not be treated as people whose suffering can be ignored.
She added that while criminal activities occur in many countries, the major concern in Nigeria is the widespread belief that victims are often left without help or protection.
Jegede further stressed that the security challenges facing the country cut across ethnic, religious and social divides, affecting citizens regardless of their background.
Her remarks come amid growing public concern over recurring cases of kidnapping, banditry and other forms of violent crime across different parts of the country.
