GOMEP Hails Oborevwori’s 50-Bus Rollout, Says Initiative Will Ease Transport Burden on Deltans

The Guild of Online Media Editors and Publishers of Nigeria (GOMEP-NG) has praised Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for deploying 50 buses to strengthen public transportation across the state, describing the move as a bold step toward improving the welfare of residents.
In a letter dated July 6, 2026, signed by its National President, Comrade Akpovoke Otiti, the Guild said the initiative reflects the governor’s dedication to people-oriented governance and his determination to deliver on the promises of the MORE Agenda.
According to GOMEP-NG, the transport intervention is more than the introduction of additional buses; it is a strategic effort aimed at enhancing economic mobility, expanding access to opportunities, reducing transportation costs, and improving the daily lives of thousands of Deltans.
The Guild stated that the programme demonstrates Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to translating campaign promises into meaningful and measurable benefits for the people.
“This thoughtful intervention is another clear demonstration of your unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life of Deltans and translating the promises of your MORE Agenda into tangible benefits for the people,” the letter read.
GOMEP-NG also highlighted the growing influence of digital media as a primary source of information for millions of Nigerians, noting that online newspapers, digital television channels, internet radio platforms, podcasts, blogs, streaming services and news websites now play a critical role in shaping public opinion and driving conversations in real time.
The Guild reaffirmed its commitment to responsible journalism, factual reporting and the promotion of initiatives that contribute to national development.
