Gradually more Imolites and many well meaning Nigerians are begining to appreciate the enduring moves the Renewed Hope Uzodinma’s government is embarking towards self sustainance of the people.
Imo government’s Adviser on Empowerment, Hon. Godson Dibe who Empowered Point of Sale Operators and ‘street orchards’ in Owerri stated that Imo state government’s Vision and philosophy of Shared Prosperity in governance means leaders, public spirited individuals and groups assisting those outside the corridors of Power towards redirecting the mind sets of People .
The Young Vibrant Adviser disclosed that while the government is rolling out policies and Programmes that will enhance the Economic well being of the masses, well meaning citizens must begin to manifest governments philosophy and vision of the Shared Prosperity governance.
Hon. Godson Dibe told the audience that he opted to assist some of the petty traders and less fortunate individuals to grow up their source of livelihood. In his words, Sharing Challenges Confronting others means Empowerment.
” I am here today to empower people so that they can understand that the government is aware of their Challenges , all that is needed is patience, Prayers and Support for the government to Fashion out reasonable Policies and Programmes that will ameliorate your ordeals”. I want to appeal to everybody to join hands for us to change difficult times to prosperity for all. Let’s contribute in reducing Poverty and Criminality and other vices through acts of Charity , he intoned.
Some of the recipients who Spoke to Newsmen expressed Pleasures and gratitude to God Almighty for the Shared Prosperity government of distinguished Sen. Hope Uzodinma, rebranding Empowerment that will elevate SMEs , while enhancing self help and economic growth. Mrs Oluchi , a POS Operator who was empowered along side others lauded Hon . Godson Dibe for his revolutionary Empowerment Programmes.
A passer by , Mr Mike Robertson a detribalized Nigerian from the Niger Delta who served with the Nigerian Police Force in Lagos, Festac Division Amuwo Odofin described the Special Adviser on Empowerment as a Philanthropist and blessing to Imo People. Mr. Robertson told Journalists that Hon. Godson Dibe has been exceptional. In his words, Godson Dibe single handedly renovated the Police post in 7th. Avenue Festac when it was destroyed at the height of insecurity in Lagos and ensured the welfare of the officers at the station.
Our staff Correspondents in the field reports that the special Adviser on Empowerment Hon. Godson Dibe has come to rebrand Empowerment Programmes in the state as he moves round communities sharing the burden of less Privileged people , saving lives . His visits to Nigerian Red Cross, Nigerian Correctional centre Owerri, empowering Widows, Orphans and Vulnerables has placed his office above others .
