Umunoha/Azara Ward Councilorship Election: Osuebi Unveils 9-Point Development Agenda

As electioneering-campaign activities heralding the awaited Councilorship Election in Imo state take the centre-stage, frontline aspirant of the All Progressive Congress, APC for the Seat of Umunoha/Azara ward in Mbaitoli LGA of the state,Barr.Justin Osuebi,has announced a nine-point development agenda to work with,if elected Councilor of the ward

Speaking with journalists in Owerri on Friday, August,2,2024, shortly after unveiling the development agenda,Barr.Osuebi, said that security of lives and properties of the people of Umunoha/Azara ward is top-most in the agenda,emphasizing that he will encourage the local community vigilante groups to complement the efforts of the Police and other relevant security agencies in combating crime in the ward.

Also in the agenda,Barr.Osuebi pledged to give priority-attention to agriculture by way of ensuring that local farmers in the ward are given the necessary incentives for bumper harvest of agricultural produce,in order to boost food sufficiency and agro-base economic boom in the ward.

As part of his 9-point development agenda,Barr.Osuebi, maintained that,if he is elected as Councilor of Umunoha/Azara ward in the awaited Councilorship Election,he will ensure that necessary bye-laws are enacted to boost the IGR-base of Mbaitoli LGA,facilitate an enhanced primary education system, encourage rural development by way of genuine youth and women empowerment schemes.

Others in his agenda, according to the Councilorship hopeful,are to run an all-inclusive representation in order also to put an end to age-long marginalisation of the Azara bloc in the scheme of things,and to provide for qualitative primary health care delivery.

He however pledged to ensure that there is good inter-community link road network by giving facelift to the deplorable state of roads in Umunoha/Azara ward,altogether with a sustainable intercultural cohesion among people of the ward,if given the opportunity to serve.

It would be recalled that Barr.Osuebi hails from the Azara bloc in Umunoha/Azara ward which has not fielded a Councilor of the ward since its creation in 1976 till date,as against the law of equity and social justice.
