Imo Assembly Clerk, Emeghara celebrates staff birthday

The Imo State House of Assembly Clerk, Barr. Mrs. Chinelo Emeghara, has surprised one of the Assembly staff, and State Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, PASAN Woman Leader, Mrs Sandra Ogechi Mbama by throwing a birthday party for her.

 

The celebration which took place on Monday, had the Clerk, other Legislative heads of the Assembly, including other staff present to mark the ceremony with the celebrant.

Speaking, the Clerk, who firstly thanked God for keeping them alive to see the day, described the celebrant as a lady in who she is well pleased.

 

“Mrs Sandra Ogechi Mbama is a woman I love so much because of the kind of person she is, and I believe the feeling is mutual.

 

“She has proven to be a trust worthy staff, and doesn’t joke with anything that concerns me. This is very important to me and so has endeared me to her.

“I believe that it is good to hold onto such a person like Mrs Mbama who cares about you, is loyal to you, and doesn’t treat things that concerns you with levity, ‘ Emeghara stated’.

 

She further wished Mrs Mbama all the best in life and many fruitful years ahead of her.

 

“Your children will call you blessed, and may God make all your good wishes come through.”

 

Adding his voice, the PASAN Chairman, Comrade Anya Chukwuma, onbehalf of PASAN family congratulated the celebrant and averred “We are in a very happy mood today as we are blessed to have a woman like Barr. Mrs. Emeghara as the Clerk of the House.

“This kind of thing doesn’t happen often, but she always makes such happen for us, the staff of the Assembly as she doesn’t joke with our welfare. She is a woman full of surprises, and we want to say a big thank you to her for all she has been doing for us,’

 

He further urged the celebrant to keep being good, saying that it is her good deeds that have attracted such favour to her.

 

The former PASAN Chairman, Comrade Nnadi Victor, and other staff of the Assembly took turns in wishing the celebrant well, and appreciating the clerk for her motherly love to them.

 

In response, Mrs Sandra Ogechi Mbama who was short of words to express how she felt, stated, “I feel so elated, so excited. If I don’t tell you that words are failing me express how I feel, then l am a liar.

 

“This is indeed shocking to me, for my indefatigable quintessential boss, Barr. Emeghara just planned it all along without me knowing.

 

“I pray the good Lord I serve will replenish her pocket and continue to bless her, and her family with long life, good health, and prosperity.

 

“To my colleagues who came to celebrate with me, I pray that celebrations will never cease from their homes, and they will never lack anything good.”
