Nemex declares interest to contest Ihitte/Uboma Chairmanship seat

• Says his declaration a vision whose time has come, to offer selfless service to his people

Following the notice of election recently made public by lmo State lndependent Electoral Commission (lSIEC) regarding the conduct of the proposed September, 2024 Council election in the State, Hon Godbless Nnaemeka Nzenwa (Nemex), has officially declared his interest to contest for Ihitte/Uboma Chairmanship seat, under his cherished All Progressives Congress (APC) platform.

This is even as he stated, his declaration for the seat is a vision whose time has come to offer selfless service to the people of the area after his years of successful engagement in his private business enterprise.

Making his intention known to his home people of Umuihi, Monday this week, the youthful and renowned philantropist, noted with regret that Ihitte/Uboma known to be the food basket of the State, today imports food, asking how someone who claims to be ‘Christ-like’ can be found lacking a Bible?

The highly colourful declaration, held in his Dibianachala Ihinna/Umuihi country home was said to have witnessed a large turnout of mammoth crowd, including Party faithful.

Addressing the people, Hon Nzenwa, reinstated his sincerity to lead. stating that, by the special grace of God he was successful, and needed no personal aggrandizement.

According to him, he only desires to be there for the people’s sake, as he already has been doing some notable empowerments, but with the opportunity.as an elected Council Chairman, he would do more.

He further advised the people not to be distracted by today’s depressive economy. He encouraged them not to allow current economic challenges make them lose grip of using this opportunity to change the narrative.

Speaking further Hon Nzenwa, believed he is not one to settle between ‘succeed and success’ as they are two different variables, as he preferred to take this bold leap into Nigerian leadership process in order to achieve success, which he observed is simply about making meaningful impact in the lives of the people.

NEMEX also reminded Umuihi people that the great legacies of Late Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu, whom he referred to as his employer, may be far reaching but there’s always a starting point to it, a statement that elicited tremendous applause from the people.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) asset (Nemex) who his people described his declaration exercise “as when a man’s strong passion for philanthropy meets Power, becomes a righteous leader, whose reign would make the people joyous”, was further described as a man whose destiny has come to take lhitte/Uboma to the next level.It was gathered that Nemex declaration was the continuation of a journey that started since 2019.

The event attracted the presence of some Councilorship aspirants from Umuihi Ward with their followers to identify with Hon Nzenwa.Among whom were; Ikenna Onugha Nicholas from Umuokoro Umuihi.

Also present at the massive gathering was APC Umuihi Ward Party Chairman, Nze Anointing Ihediohanma wirh his Executives, who initiated a prophetic prayer exercise for Nemex that really sunk deep.Other notable personalities present; were; High Chief Kelechi Iwueke, Hon Okey Lekweuwa (Theu “Biggest Fish”) and a host of others who came to identify with their own, Hon Nnemeka Nzenwa (Nemex).
