Political Earthquake Ahead Of 2027! Atiku’s Son Turns Against Father, Makes Bold Tinubu Declaration

ABUJA – A major political twist appears to be unfolding ahead of the 2027 presidential election as Abba Atiku Abubakar, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Abba, who currently serves as a commissioner in Adamawa State, reportedly announced his decision at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretariat in Abuja on Friday.
He also pledged to mobilise support across Adamawa State to ensure Tinubu secures victory in the state during the 2027 presidential election.
Despite being the son of Atiku Abubakar, who is expected to be a major contender in the 2027 presidential race under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Abba insisted that his political decision was driven by national interest.
“My father is Atiku Abubakar, but Nigeria comes first. Tinubu has shown capacity and I will deliver Adamawa for him in 2027,” he reportedly said.
Abba further disclosed that he had commenced consultations with youths and other political stakeholders in Adamawa State as part of efforts to build support for Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
He maintained that the political situation in 2027 would be different from the 2023 election, when his father secured victory in Adamawa State.
“2023 was different. In 2027, Adamawa is for Tinubu. I will personally lead the campaign to make sure we deliver the state,” he added.
The development could introduce an interesting political dimension to the 2027 presidential contest, particularly given the political rivalry between President Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar.
