A Councilorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Ubomiri Ward, Mbaitoli LGA of Imo state, Engr.Stephen Ugorji, has relayed his felicitatory message to the Governor of Imo state, Sen.Hope Uzodimma on his resounding victory at the Supreme Court.
Speaking with newsmen on Monday, August,26,2024,Engr.Ugorji, said that Gov.Uzodimma’s victory over litigations by the candidates of the PDP and Labour Party, LP, at the Supreme Court is a clear indication that the people’s Governor is divinely ordained to govern Imo state in fullfilment of his Shared Prosperity agenda, embedded in the 3-R mantra.
According to him, the people of Imo state trooped out enmasse to lend support by voting for Gov.Uzodimma in the November, 11,2023 Governorship Election in the state, adding that the litigants whom he defeated at the nation’s apex court have no reason to challenge the Governor’s victory.
Also commending the Governor for insisting on zoning and equity in the awaited Local Government Council Elections in the state,Engr.Ugorji, maintained that zoning and equity creates equi-balance, peace and harmony among people of a given geo-political entity,while urging the aspirants in the race to abide by the rules.
Ugorji, however used the opportunity in appealing for support of the people of Ubomiri Ward in both the primary and main elections, even as he pledged to run an all-inclusive representation of people of the ward, improve on primary health care delivery, primary education system, revamping of the dwindling state of infrastructure, security and agriculture to boost food sufficiency among others.
He also promised to give facelift to maintenance of basic-social amenities in the communities across the Ubomiri ward, especially the deplorable state of roads in Egbeada Community and others.
