The just elected Chairman of Nwangele Local Government Area in Imo State, Chief Paul Chibuike Duru has assured his people of putting up plans and programmes that will lead to the advancement of their LGA.
Duru gave the assurance on Tuesday after receiving his Certificate of Return at Imo State Independent Electoral Commission, ISIEC Office, in Owerri.
He further extended a hand of fellowship to his people from other parties, calling on them to join him in ensuring the progress of their people.
Hear him,”I am elated that it is the wish of God that I become the Chairman of Nwangele. It has come to pass, and I give all the glory to God for it.
“My assurance to my people comes from my track record, for everybody in Nwangele knows me, and how I am passionate about anything that pertains to the growth of our LGA.
“But I once again reassure my people that I will do my best to carry everybody along, and make sure that Nwangele local government moves from where I met it to a better level.
“Most importantly, I am extending a hand of goodwill and fellowship to everyone that contested in this election irrespective of their party affiliation or platform.
“I will give them their due respect and honour, and make sure they do not feel left behind for any reason.
“So I call on them to join us, so we can work together towards building the Nwangele that we desire and deserve.”
